Believe it or not, High School Musical, the hot made-for-TV movie on the Disney channel this summer, helped students ease into school. Students viewed a video of Ramaz students coming to school, set to the tune of “Together” from the movie, and then a skit performed by the student activities department and teachers about first day of school jitters. The highlight of the skit was a song to the tune of "Breaking Free" from the movie. The faculty helped allay fears about making new friends, meeting new teachers, and learning new and more challenging material. The familiar popular tunes brought smiles to the students’ faces, had them humming along and created an instant bond with their teachers.
